Etruscan revival in Victorian times refers to the designs from the Etruscan jewellery dating from the 7th to the 3rd Centuries BCE. The Etrurians were known for their very fine work for granulation and applied fillagree. These techniques of granulation without soldering were new and then lost for centuries only to be revived by top jewellers Alessandro and Augusto Castellani who had been studying Archeological jewellery in Italy.
