An 18ct white gold (stamped 750) antique style plaque ring featuring an oval faceted purplish-red coloured Thai Ruby secured by four yellow gold claws and surrounded by a millegrain edge defined border of round and navette shaped setting, micro-claw set with a total of sixteen brilliant cut Diamonds and a further six small brilliant cut Diamonds set to the inner perimeter of the Ruby setting. The railed and galleried top mount is joined on each shoulder to the ramped 2.1mm wide shoulders of the polished reverse tapered shank.
Known Ruby weight: 2.09ct (7.50 x 6.85 x 4.36mm) accompanied by a GRS Gemstone Report No GRS 2005 – 061243 stating geographical origin of Ruby as Siam (Thailand).
