Magnificent natural Blue sapphire and Diamond ring Edwardian C1905 with pierced sides and rose cut diamonds.
A Platinum Art Deco ring featuring a round faceted Royal Blue Ceylon type Sapphire, flanked to each side by a brilliant cut Diamond, all individually rim set in raised millegrain edged box mounts situated at the top of delicately pierced gallery incorporating Fleur De Lis and arrowhead style mounts, micro grain set with a total of 8 Rose cut and 4 brilliant cut Diamonds. The divided under rails are joined to flared shoulder settings, each side grain set with 2 Rose cut and 1 brilliant cut Diamonds. The platinum shank measures 1.5mm in width at the base of the band broadening towards the ramped sides culminating in a double incised ridge before joining each of the shoulder mounts.
Known Sapphire Weight: 0.81ct (5 x 3.4mm)
Positive Diamond Weights: 2 = 0.82ct (4.6mm each), Colour: F-G,
The centre stones are new stone to the ring. They are modern cuts.
