I love to travel and as a gemmologist I love to travel where they mine gems and produce Pearls.
So In Australia we have bought opals…black, white and boulder…….. from Coober Pedy, Lightening Ridge, Winton, Andamooka and Opalton for starters.
Sapphires from Rubyvale ( where there are no Rubies) and surrounding areas including Sapphire in Queensland. Sapphires form Inverell in NSW.
South Sea Pearls from Cygnet Bay and Broome Pearl Farms in WA. Akoya pearls from Broken Bay Pearl Farm in NSW. Also South Sea Pearls from Darwin. South Sea pearl farms in Indonesia…………I have probably missed a few places……So if you are after Australian gems please just ask. I have not time to put them all on the website.…….oh yes i have of course diamonds from the now closed Argyle mine in WA form a trip to the mine in 2019.
