Designed with grace and practicality in equal measure, this late-20th-century diamond cluster ring dates from circa 1980-2000. A bezel-set pear-shaped diamond is framed by ten graduated round brilliant-cut diamonds in a softly scalloped surround. The contrast of bright diamonds against warm 18ct yellow gold gives the ring a romantic, flower-like presence, complemented by tapered knife-edge shoulders.
Its hinged shank was thoughtfully made to pass over larger or arthritic knuckles, bringing comfort and beauty together in an unusually practical design.
