“Home Gemmology”

This webinar has become my favourite.  It is on at 7 pm Tuesday.  Rui is going on holiday on the 1st of July so only one live webinar at 12 midnight for the night owls.  Rui has now set up a web page where you can watch some of the webinars on utube. https://www.ruigalopim.com/home-gemmology

So now you need to follow Rui Galopim de Carvalho on Instagram to see the next session that is live.  Rui is a wonderful educator.  His English is excellent. Rui is Portuguese and clearly teaches in English.  He started off with about 50 people attending his Zoom webinars.  Now he has 1000 attendees.  This is the maximum he can do on Zoom and CIBJO is supporting him in this.

The webinars can be watched by anybody.  However, the gemmologist will learn new things too.  There is a question and answer session after the approx 50 min talk.  Rui is an engaging teacher.

This Facebook page alerts you to their online webinars.  It should also link you to their Utubes page where they save the Webinars for later viewing.

I met Julia Griffiths while she was out in Australia on sabbatical for over 6 months.  Fascinating lady and quite the adventurer.  A younger me?

For webinars, check the corresponding time in Australia.  London is GMT zero and we are in Melbourne GMT +10
